Hernandez struggled for form during the 2020 MLS football season with just two goals throughout the campaign. The Mexican international would be the first person to admit that he didn’t live up to his status as one of the designated players in the LA Galaxy last season.

Even Lionel Messi himself will face a dilemma trying to answer this question. The Barcelona superstar is reportedly caught between wanting to end his career at the Camp Nou and wanting to leave the club and try out a new challenge in a new country and a new league. With the Argentina international attacker’s contract at Barcelona set to expire at the end of the season, the tension keeps growing among the club’s fans regarding where their captain will be playing his football next season.

Messi tried to leave the club last summer after coming out to hold a public interview that went viral and shocked both fans of Barcelona and everyone else involved in the sport. In the interview, Messi spoke of his desire to leave Barca and stated that he was tired of always being a target of blames whenever the club are facing any difficulty.

I CAME TO WIN – MATUIDI

French midfielder Blaise Matuidi has said that he came to win at Inter Miami. Blaise Matuidi disclosed that his target is to win silverware at Inter Miami in a Haute Living interview. Blaise Matuidistormed MLS football last season when new club Inter Miami made a big transfer coup to sign him. Inter Miami are new to MLS football and they spent their first season in the top flight during the 2020 season. The MLS football outfit is co-owned by David Beckham, a legend of the Premier League in England and the club is managed by Phil Neville at the moment.


Blaise Matuidi became the 12th FIFA World Cup winner to join MLS football when Inter Miami signed him last summer. The 33-year-old Frenchman has won a lot of trophies in his career. Apart from the FIFA World Cup tournament, which he won with France at the 2018 edition in Russia, Blaise Matuidi won four league titles in the French top division with Paris Saint Germain (PSG) and also won three league titles in the Italian Serie A with Juventus. Inter Miami have appointed a new manager ahead of the 2021 season in MLS football. Inter Miami are new to MLS football but that has not stopped the team from making high profile signings.

Ahead of the 2020 season, Inter Miami initiated the addition of a big name to MLS football when they secured the signing of experienced Argentine Gonzalo Higuainand they have repeated the same feat ahead of the 2021 season in MLS football following the addition of a big name manager. SPURS EYE CALUM WILSON

 

Tottenham Hotspur are interested in a transfer for Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson. According to The Mirror Spurs are willing to make a move for the striker. Bournemouth were relegated on the final day of the EPL after their heroic performance at Goodison Park.

Eddie Howe’s side put out a fine performance, but it was a little too late as Aston Villa held their own to hold out to 1-1 draw away at West Ham to condemn the Cherries to relegation after five years in the topflight. Bournemouth were promoted to the EPL after winning the Championship in the 2014-2015 season. They will have to return and navigate another Championship season. But one man that will not go down with the Cherries is Wilson.

Mulraney calls for more Irish players to make MLS move

 

New Atlanta signing Jake Mulraney was in full praise of his new club and the MLS even if the football has come to a standstill due to the coronavirus lockdown.Mulraney made the switch to Atlanta for an undisclosed fee. This move brought an end to his time with Scottish football, where he has spent since 2016 after securing a move from QPR to Inverness. The 24-year-old Irish midfielder has been playing for Hearts since 2018 and he has been able to blossom as a capable player. This led to the attention from Atlanta, who have been quite successful in the MLS over the last few years.


Since the switch, however,Mulraney has been unable to make an impact, as football in the region – and indeed around the world – has been brought to a halt. It may take a while before football resumes and the full MLS campaign may not be played.Mulraney might have liked some time to settle into the team, get to know his teammates, and the style of football in the new league. Yet, all these have to wait much longer. The 24-year-old, though, is already impressed with what he has seen. The midfielder reckons that MLS has improved a lot in terms of quality and that more Irish players should consider moving to North America.

Thanks to some weird term known as Targeted Allocation Money, Toronto FC chiefs just announced that Michael Bradley has been re-signed. According to the club president, Bradley had given his sweat and all to TFC and it is only fair they reward his loyalty.


Unlike the unease following rumors that the former Roma man might be calling it quits from MLS football, TFC handled the situation in ways that the former USA international leaving would have been like him turning his back on his family.

Mesut Ozil to Make Move into MLS

High chances are there that Mesut Ozil might revive his career in the MLS in the coming year. But for that, he will need Arsenal for subsidizing his wage. The international player from Germany has fallen out of service along with Unai Emery. He has not been able to make his squad from the past five years.
