I CAME TO WIN – MATUIDI

French midfielder Blaise Matuidi has said that he came to win at Inter Miami. Blaise Matuidi disclosed that his target is to win silverware at Inter Miami in a Haute Living interview. Blaise Matuidistormed MLS football last season when new club Inter Miami made a big transfer coup to sign him. Inter Miami are new to MLS football and they spent their first season in the top flight during the 2020 season. The MLS football outfit is co-owned by David Beckham, a legend of the Premier League in England and the club is managed by Phil Neville at the moment.


Blaise Matuidi became the 12th FIFA World Cup winner to join MLS football when Inter Miami signed him last summer. The 33-year-old Frenchman has won a lot of trophies in his career. Apart from the FIFA World Cup tournament, which he won with France at the 2018 edition in Russia, Blaise Matuidi won four league titles in the French top division with Paris Saint Germain (PSG) and also won three league titles in the Italian Serie A with Juventus.

In his first season in MLS football, Blaise Matuidi was unable to achieve any form of major trophy with Inter Miami in his debut season. He had revealed in the Haute Living interview thatit would be special for him to win a trophy in MLS football.

Matuidi played as a centre back and a central midfielder for Inter Miami last season and he had a return of one goal and one assist in 14 starts and one substitute appearance. Blaise Matuidi and Inter Miami qualified for the playoffs at the end of the season after finishing in 10th place in the Eastern Conference. Inter Miami were eliminated by Nashville SC in the play-in round of the MLS Cup playoffs. Blaise Matuidi would be hoping for a better outing this season (2020 season).
