PHILADELPHIA, NASHVILLE BATTLE FOR FINAL SPOT

Philadelphia Union and Nashville SC meet each other in the first Eastern Conference semi-final with a place in the final up for grabs. The two MLS football teams will do battle at the Subaru Park in Chester, Pennsylvania to determine the team that will secure a place in the Eastern Conference final.

Nashville SC had to see off Orlando City SC to book their place in the Eastern Conference semis thanks to the brace from Hany Mukthar either side of the half-time break, while JakobGlesnes scored deep into stoppage time to take Philadelphia Union to the semis via a 1-0 win at home to New York Red Bulls. Nashville SC had to do things the hard way when the two MLS football sides met at the Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee.

Orlando City SC scored the first goal of the match and hosts Nashville SC had to come from behind to win the game and progress into the final four as far as the Eastern Conference is concerned. The aim is to be the best team in MLS football this season.

United States international Daryl Dike gave Orlando City a perfect start with the opening goal on 14 minutes and it took just seven minutes for Nashville to respond. Hany Mukthar was the star of the game as he showed his quality to drag his team away from the face of adversity. His goal around the midway point of the first half restored parity for Nashville.

Nashville turned the game on its head thanks to the goal from the impressive Mukhtar with sixteen minutes left on the clock. Jhonder Cadiz then made sure of their place in the Eastern Conference semis with his goal on the stroke of full-time. With the 3-1 win over Orlando, Nashville were able to seal an Eastern Conference last four clash with Philadelphia Union. The winner of the game billed for later this weekend will take on the winner of the Real Salt Lake v New York City FC last four clash in the Eastern Conference final.
