HACKWORTH FUTURE IN DOUBT

Philadelphia Union manager John Hackworth is in danger of losing his job if things do not improve quickly in the next few weeks. The club has made a poor start to the season and they are in danger of not even finishing in the playoff places if they endure the current poor run.

The club taken just eight points from 10 matches played this season. They are without a victory in the last five matches, while also taking just two points from this run. Hackworth has acknowledged that things could soon end for him at the club if results do not improve.

The club will be taking on DC United in the next match hoping to improve form. Just before the start of the season, it was widely acknowledged that Philadelphia had one of the best squads in the division when it came to talent.

However, Hackworth has been unable to get the players performing well and he is aware (according to the brasilien mexico odds fansite) that pressure has been mounting for some time now. The upcoming match with DC United will certainly not be easy given that the opposition are fighting to stay in the play-off places.

They have suffered just one defeat in the last five matches, which is the kind of form that could save Hackworth’s job right now.

“We’re going to have to get out of this hole we dug, one step at a time. But I know there’s only so much time to have that opportunity. The reality is that it’s part of being in this job. There’s always that pressure. Now it just gets ratcheted up. I still believe our team can be a team that can do great things this year. We’re going to have to do that in a different fashion than all of us would like,” Hackworth said.
